The Gift of You

I didn't give you the gift of life, but in my heart I know.
The love I feel is deep and real, as if it had been so.
For us to have each other is like a dream come true!
No, I didn't give you the gift of life, life gave me the gift of you.

Day #2 - Food gets no better

Today we left the hotel and went to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, followed by an acrobatics show which was unbelievable. Needless to say, it was a very long day and the jet lag is starting to really affect me (not so much for Trish). We went with a group to an Italian restaurant close by the hotel - a safe choice we thought. After a closer look at the menu, we decided to leave the group and head out on our own. I didn't realize so many pasta dishes could be served with baby squid, squid sauce, etc. Everything on the menu had something gross in it...and we're not picky eaters! Long story short - we traveled over 8,000 miles and ate at a McDonalds. Best meal yet!

Trish and Bob,

The girls and I are sitting here reading your comments. Thank you for taking us along with you.

We spent the day at the Flooks from about 9am until 7:30pm. We had a family snow day. :) We had several families that pitched in breakfast, watched movies, played out in the snow and ate as if it were our last meal.

We are praying for you guys each day and we are counting down the days until we see your little BG.

Trish, I don't think those last 10 will be a problem!!!!

Have a wonderful and blessed week :)

This brings back so many memories, except the food, Julie must have really protected us because I don't remember anything like blubber, guts...although we did the McDonald's thing once too, and Starbucks.

The Forbidden City is beautiful isn't it? Truly take in everything, it is such an awesome trip. It won't be long until you get little one:)

We faked being snowed in most of the day. Went sledding at the Thompson's this afternoon and they said that the church "took attendence" today and anyone who wa
sn't there was going to you know where. Andy informed them that he snow blowed the driveway of the widow across the street so he thought that caring for widows was being the hands and feet of Jesus so we're "safe." Haha. You should see Audrey sledding. She's not afraid of anything anymore. Getting so big.

How's Jackson doing? and Jacob?
