About Us
Hello! We are Bob and Trish Akers from Indiana. We are in the process of adopting a daughter, Emmaline Catherine, from China. We have a log in date of December 8, 2005, and are hoping to get our "referral" in November 2007. It's been a long journey, but we are so excited to be this close! ****************************************************************** Update: We have obviously adopted our daughter, so this is now the Akers Family website. We will periodically be posting pictures of our family and newest adventures.

Congratulations! I found your blog on the RQ. My husband and I just brought home our Xiushan girl in July of this year. Know that your daughter is being well cared for and loved by the nannies there. Many of the parents in our group sent care packages with disposable cameras, and we did get them back on Gotcha Day. If you click on the A Childs Right picture on RQ first page there are pictures from Xiushan. We also have a Yahoo group. Again I am rejoicing that another Xiushan sister is getting a mom and dad!

Hello! What a beautiful "Spicy Girl" We, too, adopted a baby girl from Chongqing, Nanchuan City, to be exact. They are truly spicy girls. You will love Chongqing. It's a lovely city. The food is wonderful, especially the Hot Pot, a local specialty. Good luck.
