Probably not, but we're hoping. We have returned our paperwork "accepting" Emmaline, which initiates the start of our travel arrangements. The length of time between referral and travel has been six to eight weeks, but we're hoping it will be sooner since we are in a small travel group. The most likely scenario has us traveling to China right after Christmas. What a way to ring in 2008!!

Hello! We are Bob and Trish Akers from Indiana. We are in the process of adopting a daughter, Emmaline Catherine, from China. We have a log in date of December 8, 2005, and are hoping to get our "referral" in November 2007. As a mother of a daughter from Hunan, China... I just wanted to post a reassurance that the wait you have experienced will diminish the moment you hold your baby girl. We've had our daughter for 18 months now and each day, literally, has been a joy.

Trish,ive packed our nappy bag, and im packing this weekend....i know that we just have to wait ever so patiently for these TA's but i so dont feel an ounce of patience in me at the moment!!!!
All i can think of is getting there and getting to know my baby...
